I read a statistical claim re water today I find interesting if it’s anywhere near accurate. The claim is that one cup of coffee requires about 140 litres of water. For your tea people it’s not quite at bad, however still completely over the top imho, it’s about 35 litres.
We found that for drinking one standard cup of coffee in the Netherlands we need about 140 litres of water, by far the largest part for growing the coffee plant. A standard cup of coffee is 125 ml, which means that we need more than 1100 drops of water for producing one drop of coffee.
