Distributing large files such as the movies we all make has become more efficient thanks to people like Bram Cohen.
Bram is the guy behind BitTorrent, a program that enables our audiences to receive our productions whilst reducing the burden on our own bandwidth by sharing the distribution task. BitTorrent is making a bit of history right now, and a lot of tools developers are climbing on board with implementations and variations.
Anyway, for the 24×7 film experiment along with others who we thought would be interesting to audiences we invited Bram. Here’s a brief clip with Bram introducing himself and BitTorrent. We are using other footage in the final cut of the film and thought you might enjoy seeing and hearing Bram and getting a BitTorent 101 introduction.

It’s interesting how different media convey information differently. I’ve read interviews with Bram, but seeing him in video was so much different. There was less technical information, but more human information. Anyway, good stuff.
